Nursery Inspiration

When we first found out we were having a girl I was incredibly shocked and, not going to lie, a little bit terrified. I haven't had time due to work to even think about our plans for the nursery so this week I finally started looking and getting some inspiration! I thought I would share with you some of the ideas I have for our little girls nursery! Let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions, I am more then open to them!

First things first -- Colour. I originally didn't really want much pink in the room but that slowly changed with the more ideas I looked at. I'm so in love with the Rose Quartz colour from Pantone and defiantly want to incorporate it somewhere. Along with that I'm thinking soft white and grey tones and a few gold accents!

If you are someone who knows me personally you know I LOVE polkadots. I fell in love with the idea of adding polkadots somewhere in the design for the nursery, however I didn't think that my husband would go for it. After I showed him some ideas he actually said yes! I'd love to paint three of the walls a light off white and then have one wall be Rose Quartz by Pantone and add some gold polkadots!

Next up are the details. The crib, changing table and bookshelf. I absolutely love crystal drawer knobs, so I would like to incorporate them into the changing table drawers. I'm thinking of keeping everything white and would love to have a vintage feel to some of the pieces.

For the finishing touches I'll have to wait until the end but I have some cute ideas. I really want to keep it a vintage dainty theme but I also can't get away from the modern touches. Here are some simple decorations that I'm in love with.

Well there it is! The ideas I have so far for our little girls nursery. Let me know what you think! Stay tuned for the end results as construction begins this month!
