The 12 Days of Christmas Cookies - Toffee Snickerdoodles

Day seven of the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies is a toffee studded Snickerdoodle! Toffee is by far one of my favourite candies and Skor chocolate bar are as well! I found these yummy Skor bits at the store and thought it would be delicious in a snickerdoodle! So here you go! 


Preheat oven to 400F

Beat butter, shorting and 1 cup sugar until fluffy. Add eggs; beat thoroughly.

Stir together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing until well blended. Stir in Skor bits.

Store together remaining sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls; roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. (If dough is to soft to work with, refrigerate for at least an hour). Place balls on uncreased cookie sheet. 

Bake for 9-11 minutes.
